Academy of Sciences of Bologna Institute

History and organization of the Academy of Sciences of the Institute of Bologna.

The Academy is made up of the two classes of Physical and Moral Sciences, further divided into eight sections with the following membership types: Emeritus Academicians, Benedictine and Official Academicians, Resident Correspondent Academicians, Non-Resident Correspondent Academicians and Foreign Correspondent Academicians.

Founded in 1690, the Academy of Sciences of Bologna Institute has a history of more than three centuries. Among its members were the famous Italian and foreign scientists Luigi Galvani, Guglielmo Marconi, Albert Einstein, Giovanni Pascoli, Marie Curie.
Academy Medals
The Medals are worn by the Benedictine and Official Academicians during ceremonies.

The Governing Council of the Academy of Sciences Institute of Bologna.
